Nancy’s story

Hello! I would like to share with you how cannabis has changed my life.

I am a recovering alcoholic and l haven’t had a drink in over 18 months, the longest ever for me.

My extensive history with alcohol includes multiple stays in detox’s, ER’s, intensive care units, jail, and treatment centers, both inpatient and outpatient.

I have had three seizures from alcohol withdrawal and my liver was in such bad shape that my eyes were yellow and l looked nine months pregnant from being bloated. I was losing my hair and nails. It was killing me, there is no other way to look at it.

It was someone from AA, of all places, who took me aside and whispered something in my ear that has changed everything for me. This person didn’t want to see me dead and knew there might be another answer for me.

I use cannabis daily now and enjoy a clean bill of health physically.

Mentally and emotionally, I am taking things one day at a time and being patient with myself. I live in a legal state now and feel incredibly grateful for the life l have; a stable job and a healthy relationship for the first time as an adult!

Trading alcohol for cannabis is not for every alcoholic, but it helped save my life. I want other alcoholics to know this! Thank you!
